3 Days Akagera Wildlife Rwanda Safari

Your guide from Ikiya Primate Safaris will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel. After a short briefing about your safari, you’ll embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Akagera National Park, passing through Rwanda’s picturesque countryside.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds including kingfishers and fish eagles.

Start your day with an early morning game drive through the park’s open savannahs in search of the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos—as well as Masai giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species.

Return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. Later in the afternoon, embark on another game drive to explore more of the park’s landscapes and spot additional wildlife such as gazelles, impalas, elands, bushbucks, baboons, and possibly leopards.
