8-Day Adventure Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Wilderness Safari – Moremi Game Reserve (Xakanaxa & Third Bridge)
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome and airport pickup in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Accommodation before the tour can be arranged at an additional cost if required.
Departing early in the morning, we journey by 4×4 into the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, heading toward the renowned Xakanaxa and Third Bridge areas. This pristine region is a unique mix of permanent waterways, seasonal floodplains, and dry woodland, making it one of Botswana’s top wildlife destinations.
In the late afternoon, enjoy your first game drive, searching for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelope, and an impressive variety of birdlife. As the sun sets, soak in the peaceful sounds of the African bush and settle into camp for the night.
Day 2: Big Five Safari & Okavango Delta Exploration
Rise early at 5:30 am for tea or coffee and a light snack before setting off on a thrilling morning game drive. The Okavango Delta’s ever-changing landscape creates exceptional wildlife encounters, and sightings may include elephants, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, buffalo, and elusive big cats.
Return to camp around 8:30 am for a hearty breakfast. In the afternoon, depending on water levels, enjoy a complimentary boat safari gliding upstream through the delta channels. Later, embark on an evening game drive around Xakanaxa Lagoon, a prime area for predator sightings and dramatic sunsets.
Day 3: Moremi to Khwai Concession & Mokoro Safari
Another early wake-up call allows us to search for predators during the most active hours of the day. Explore hidden lagoons and remote corners of Moremi Game Reserve, increasing the chances of spotting members of the Big Five.
After breakfast, we break camp and travel to the Khwai Concession, located along the wildlife-rich Khwai River. This region is famous for its high density of animals and relaxed off-road game viewing.
In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) excursion, silently drifting along the river while observing wildlife from a unique and tranquil perspective.
Day 4: Predator Country – Savuti, Chobe National Park
After breakfast and dismantling camp, we drive to the legendary Savuti region, located in the south-western section of Chobe National Park. We arrive around midday, set up camp, and enjoy lunch.
Savuti is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and exceptional predator activity, especially its famous lion prides known for hunting elephants. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive through the Savuti Marsh, an area with excellent chances of close-up lion sightings.
Return to camp for dinner and relax around the campfire beneath a spectacular star-filled sky, accompanied by the sounds of the wild.
Day 5: Savuti to Kasane & Chobe River Sunset Cruise
After breakfast, we head north toward Kasane, traveling through the Goha Gate, Chobe Forest Reserve, and local villages along the Botswana-Namibia border. The sandy 70 km stretch from Savuti to Kachikau is an adventure in itself before reaching smooth tar roads.
Arrive in Kasane around 13:30, check in at Water Lily Lodge, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, experience a relaxing sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River, offering unmatched views of elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife along the riverbanks.
Day 6: Chobe Game Drive & Transfer to Victoria Falls
Start the day with an early game drive in Chobe National Park, home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations and extraordinary wildlife diversity.
After breakfast, we depart Botswana and transfer to Victoria Falls, crossing borders with full assistance to ensure a smooth journey.
Day 7: Victoria Falls – The Smoke That Thunders
Enjoy a self-paced exploration of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Walk along well-maintained paths to multiple viewpoints offering breathtaking perspectives of the mighty Zambezi River plunging into the gorge.
