Golden Monkey Tracking( Volcano & Mgahinga National Park)

Golden monkey tracking is a primate safari in Uganda or Rwanda, you may consider including golden monkey tracking as part of your activities. Habituated golden monkeys do exist in Uganda and Rwanda and are in Mgahinga National Park and Volcanoes National Park and hence the saying that it is only in these two national parks where silver meets gold. Those interested in golden monkey tracking will be required to book their permits from Uganda Wildlife Authority in the case of Mgahinga National Park and Rwanda Development Board in the case of Volcanoes National Park. This golden monkey tracking permit will allow you sometime with these monkeys before returning back to your Lodge. Golden Monkey Mgahinga National Park

Due to the fact that golden monkey trekking is done in Mgahinga and Volcanoes National Park, it is very possible to combine this activity with gorilla tracking or volcano hiking in either national park. If not interested in Mgahinga gorillas, you can try out gorilla trekking in the southern side of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is closer to Mgahinga
